Australia
The Great Barrier Reef is a year-round diving destination but May offers some spectacular visibility, with calm flat seas and warm water. This month means the wet season is coming to an end, and the dwarf minke whale migration is just starting and will continue for a couple of months. During this time the boats offer some unique itineraries to view these amazing creatures and snorkel with them in their natural environment. Joining a cruise in May also has the advantage of fewer divers as it is the transition month to the high season with some great offers.
